Friends’ Central School is an independent, coeducational Quaker day school founded in 1845 and serving approximately 881 students in Nursery through grade 12. Located in the Philadelphia suburbs, the School has two campuses. The Middle & Upper Schools are located just outside of West Philadelphia in Wynnewood, and the Lower School is on our Old Gulph Road campus in the heart of Wynnewood.

Friends’ Central seeks a Long Term Substitute College Counselor starting in July 2026 through December 2026. This staff position reports to the Director of College Counseling. This person will serve as a member of the College Counseling team and participate in delivering all aspects of a comprehensive college counseling program; this includes working closely with students and families and supporting all program, activity, and operational needs of the College Counseling Office.
Responsibilities include advising students and families, teaching college counseling classes, meeting with college representatives, and utilizing technology resources.
