Summary
Canterbury School seeks an English teacher for employment beginning in the 2026–2027 academic year. Candidates must enjoy working with adolescents and possess an exceptional work ethic, intellectual curiosity, and a sense of humor. The successful candidate will hold a degree in English or a closely related field, have experience teaching secondary-school English, and be able to teach a range of high school courses, including AP English Language and Composition and/or other Advanced Placement English courses. Candidates who can also contribute to Canterbury’s broader humanities curriculum through the teaching of history and/or theology courses are especially encouraged to apply. As a boarding school, Canterbury seeks educators who are eager to engage fully in the life of the community. The position includes participation in extracurricular activities and may include coaching and/or dormitory responsibilities.
