Position Summary: Carolina Preparatory Academy (Carolina Prep) seeks a Part-Time Adjunct English Teacher to teach International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme (DP) English courses for the 2026–2027 school year beginning August 2026.
Under the general direction of the Director of Middle & Upper School, the ideal candidate will provide engaging, challenging, and student-centered instruction in DP English Language and Literature and/or DP English Literature to students in grades 11–12.
The Adjunct English Teacher will foster advanced reading, writing, critical thinking, and analytical skills while guiding students through the rigorous expectations of the IB Diploma Programme.
The successful candidate will inspire students to become thoughtful interpreters of texts, effective communicators, and globally minded learners who demonstrate intellectual curiosity, academic integrity, and a commitment to lifelong learning.
This position requires a collaborative educator who can support students in achieving success within the IB framework while contributing positively to Carolina Prep’s vibrant academic community.
