Subiaco Academy is seeking a dedicated English/Language Arts Instructor to join our team in August 2026. As a member of our independent, Catholic, boarding school community, you will be responsible for teaching English classes, advising students, and contributing to the overall academic environment.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and learning, a strong background in English/Language Arts, and excellent communication and leadership skills.
Teach English classes ranging from yearbook, oral communications, and Composition I/II to American and World Literature.
Work closely with colleagues in the English Department and throughout the Academy.
Create and update plans for content, quality, and continuity of curriculum.
Collaborate with the counseling staff to develop strategies to support all students.
Attend all faculty and employee meetings, serve as a student Advisor, and fulfill other faculty duties.

Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a pertinent field.
Teaching experience in secondary English/Language Arts, with knowledge of pedagogy and instruction.
Prior experience in independent schools, with a strong background in instruction.
Ability to teach all levels of the subject, with a mastery of current pedagogy.
Outstanding leadership skills.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
