The Director of Facilities is responsible for the strategic oversight, maintenance, safety, and operational performance of the School’s physical plant (approximately 82,000 square feet).
This is a part-time (.6 FTE), exempt position focused on management and oversight rather than hands-on technical work, with day-to-day maintenance executed by internal staff and external service providers.
The Director of Facilities will oversee all building systems, ensure reliable, safe, and efficient operation of the campus, and establish and maintain standard operating procedures for routine and emergency situations.
The Director will also manage all outsourced facilities vendors, negotiate contracts, monitor performance, and ensure service level expectations are met.
Additionally, the Director will lead the implementation and utilization of the School’s work order system, develop and maintain a comprehensive preventive maintenance program, and ensure timely resolution and tracking of all work orders.
The Director will ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, and maintain inspection schedules (fire, boiler, etc.).
