Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Backend Developer to play a pivotal role in modernizing our legacy Supply Chain Management systems. This role focuses on transforming existing SOAP and Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) APIs into modern, scalable REST-based microservices using .NET Core. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in designing and implementing secure, efficient backend services, developing REST adapter layers, and ensuring seamless integration with existing systems. This position requires a strong technical leader who can collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including DevOps, to deliver robust solutions that support our business goals.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the modernization effort by migrating legacy SOAP and WCF APIs to RESTful services using .NET Core, ensuring high performance, scalability, and maintainability.
- Design and implement scalable microservices architectures that integrate seamlessly with existing Supply Chain Management systems.
- Develop REST adapter layers to facilitate smooth communication between legacy systems and new services.
- Architect and implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms using OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and JSON Web Tokens (JWT).
- Create and maintain comprehensive OpenAPI (Swagger) specifications to document APIs clearly and facilitate collaboration.
- Apply the Adapter design pattern and develop file-based interfaces to support legacy system integration and IVR system connectivity.
- Collaborate closely with internal development teams, QA, and DevOps to ensure smooth CI/CD pipeline integration and automated deployments.
- Participate in code reviews, mentor junior developers, and promote best practices in backend development.

Requirements- Strong technical leadership skills with experience in designing and implementing scalable microservices architectures.
- Expertise in .NET Core, RESTful APIs, and SOAP/WCF APIs.
- Experience with secure authentication and authorization mechanisms, including OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, MFA, and JWT.
- Proficiency in OpenAPI (Swagger) and API documentation.
- Knowledge of the Adapter design pattern and file-based interfaces.
- Experience with CI/CD pipeline integration and automated deployments.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.
