Job Description: Language Lead – Malagasy (Madagascar)

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Language Lead – Malagasy (Madagascar) to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong linguistic background, expertise in the Malagasy language, and the ability to lead projects with a focus on quality and efficiency. The Language Lead will oversee linguistic tasks, manage quality assurance, and provide mentorship to linguists while ensuring the delivery of high-quality language services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Linguistic Expertise: Provide expert-level translation, localization, and linguistic support for Malagasy language projects.
• Ensure linguistic accuracy, cultural appropriateness, and contextual relevance in all deliverables.
• Quality Assurance: Review and edit translations to ensure they meet client requirements and quality standards.
• Implement quality control processes and resolve linguistic issues, including terminology consistency and style adherence.
• Project Leadership: Lead Malagasy language projects from initiation to completion, ensuring deadlines and quality benchmarks are met.
• Collaborate with project managers, clients, and other linguists to meet project goals.
• Team Management & Mentorship: Provide guidance and support to linguists and junior team members.
• Facilitate training and development opportunities for the team to enhance skills and expertise.
• Terminology and Style Guide Development: Develop and maintain Malagasy language glossaries, style guides, and linguistic resources.
• Ensure adherence to client-specific requirements and language standards.
• Client Communication:

• Strong linguistic background and expertise in the Malagasy language.
• Ability to lead projects with a focus on quality and efficiency.
• Experience in translation, localization, and linguistic support.
• Excellent communication and project management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
