GCS is seeking a passionate and dynamic Innovation and Technology Teacher who is committed to delivering an integrated curriculum that encourages students to explore and excel in STEAM fields.
Essential Functions:
Design, develop, and implement an engaging and innovative STEAM curriculum for grades 1 through 5.
Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and suitable for the physical, social, and emotional development of students.
Collaborate with other teachers, professional staff, and administrators in addressing instructional and/or classroom issues.
Manage Bring Your Own Device program for grades 3-5.
Management of Lower School Innovation Lab.
Serve as Lower School Technology coordinator for division.
Evaluate students' academic and social growth, keep appropriate records, and prepare progress reports.
Participate in faculty committees and sponsorship of student activities.
Desired Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in education, with a specific focus on Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, or Mathematics. A master's degree is desired.
At least 3-5 years of teaching experience, preferably with a focus on STEAM subjects.
Experience working with elementary-aged students.
Experience in curriculum development and implementation of integrated STEAM programs.
