Lower School/Elementary Teacher

Christ Episcopal School is a PreK–8 independent school in Rockville, Maryland, rooted in a vibrant, diverse community where students are known and supported as individuals. We are seeking a dynamic lower elementary teacher to join our collaborative faculty for the 2026–2027 school year.

What You Will Do

• Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction across subject areas to meet the needs of every learner
• Apply evidence-based literacy practices grounded in the Science of Reading
• Integrate technology purposefully to deepen student engagement and learning
• Build genuine partnerships with families as essential members of each child's educational team
• Collaborate with a collegial, supportive faculty and contribute your ideas to our school community
• Nurture the whole child — academic growth alongside social and emotional development

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor's degree (early childhood or elementary education preferred)
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Strong organizational and time management abilities
• Initiative, creativity, and a high level of energy
• Authorized to work in the US

Preferred:

• Master's degree in early childhood or elementary education
• Minimum of 3 years of classroom teaching experience
• Familiarity with the Science of Reading instructional approaches
