The Lower School at Brownell Talbot includes Early Years - grade 4 students.

Position Summary

The ideal candidate will plan for teaching and facilitating learning for all students, create a positive learning environment, maintain academic progress, records, and discipline. The Lower School teacher will work collaboratively with students, parents, and staff to provide and implement classroom education to meet the needs of all students.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspire Young Minds: Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that ignite a passion for learning.
  • Foster Growth: Create a nurturing classroom environment that encourages students to explore, ask questions, and develop their unique talents.
  • Collaborate: Work closely with colleagues, administration, and parents to support student development and academic progress.

Requirements

  • Teaching certification or degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
  • Experience working with diverse student populations and families.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
