Maine Coast Semester at Chewonki is seeking an experienced Math Teacher to join our faculty and support a place-based curriculum that integrates language learning with community engagement and the natural environment. This position plays a key role in helping students build meaningful math skills through thoughtful instruction and real-world application.
Located on a 400-acre saltwater peninsula in midcoast Maine, the semester combines rigorous college-preparatory academics with hands-on environmental learning, outdoor adventure, and community living. Students explore challenging questions in small, discussion-based classes while engaging deeply with the natural world.
The Math Teacher will have the opportunity to work with high-achieving high school juniors from across the country and contribute to a transformative academic experience.
