Lincoln School, founded in 1884, is an independent K-12 Quaker girls’ school in Providence, Rhode Island. We are seeking applicants for a full-time Executive Assistant to the Head of School. As a 12-month staff member, the Executive Assistant to the Head of School will provide confident and consistent support to the Head of School, including but not limited to all aspects of daily operations. The role encompasses a wide variety of administrative and executive duties, special projects, and initiatives.

This role is an excellent opportunity for a highly organized, detail-oriented, and innovative professional with strong communication and project management skills. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the daily operations of the Head of School’s office while working collaboratively with administrative support staff, faculty, and school leadership to ensure the school's effective operation and to maintain the best interests of the school community at all times.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate professionalism, sound judgment, initiative, and integrity, with the ability to manage a broad range of responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. This individual must possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to foster positive working relationships while supporting the school’s mission, policies, and organizational goals as a trusted partner to school leadership.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Represents the Head of School’s office using excellent written and oral communication skills through various communications and letters, often involving independent judgment, initiative, and discretion
  • Attends events, meetings, and conferences as needed
  • Provides administrative support to the Head of School, including but not limited to scheduling appointments, preparing correspondence, and managing calendars
  • Manages special projects and initiatives as assigned by the Head of School
  • Develops and maintains effective relationships with faculty, staff, students, and parents

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in an administrative role, preferably in an educational setting
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
