Kingswood Oxford is seeking an Upper School Mathematics teacher who is passionate, innovative, and collaborative – an educator who models a growth mindset and is committed to equity-focused pedagogy.

In addition to having a strong educational background and teaching experience in Mathematics, successful candidates will be technologically savvy, have experience with curriculum design, and model best teaching practices.

Candidates should also understand the importance of involvement in the community, student engagement and empowerment, ongoing professional development, and authentic collaboration with other faculty and staff to advance the school’s mission and strategic vision.

Curricularly, successful candidates should have a background in teaching upper level math classes through Calculus.

Successful candidates will integrate real-world applications, student choice, and community/industry connections to enhance their curriculum’s relevance and impact.

The position involves multiple parts:

  • Teaching 4 classes in Mathematics
  • Coaching/co-curricular duties for one season or the equivalent
  • Advising a small group of students

These duties will be determined in discussion with the Department Chair, the Director of Athletics, and the Head of the Upper School.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Mathematics or related field
  • Teaching experience in upper level Mathematics classes through Calculus
  • Experience with curriculum design and implementation
  • Strong educational background and teaching experience
  • Technological savvy and ability to integrate technology into the classroom
  • Commitment to equity-focused pedagogy and community involvement
  • Ability to engage authentically in faculty growth program
