The Spence School seeks two full-time Upper School (Grades 10-11) history teachers for leave-replacement positions.
This position represents an opportunity to join a team of teachers engaged in the ongoing development of a dynamic Upper School history curriculum within the context of a girls' school.
The ideal candidate shows an appreciation for the craft of teaching, historical thinking and analytical skills, and regards collaboration as a community of adult learners as an essential component of professional growth.
The successful candidate will teach three to four sections of 10th or 11th grade American History, collaborate in teaching teams to design curriculum, assessments, and teaching methods, and participate in department-wide initiatives concerning issues of pedagogy and curriculum.
The position will be available from September to November 2026 or from September to the beginning of October 2026.
