Trinity School, a co-educational K–12 institution on Manhattan’s Upper West Side, seeks a full-time Teacher of Spanish, Upper School (Grades 9–12) beginning September 1, 2026.
The ideal candidate will possess native or near-native fluency in Spanish and hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Spanish or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
The successful candidate will be an experienced language educator with the ability to teach across the Upper School Spanish curriculum, from entry-level Spanish (Spanish I) through advanced courses such as literature, conversation, and other upper-level electives.
The ability to speak and teach French is a plus, though not required.
The successful candidate will join a team of eight dynamic, professional, and collaborative Upper School language faculty and will be part of a K-12 Modern Languages Department of 18 teachers committed to fostering a rigorous, engaging, and student-centered learning environment.
Candidates should demonstrate a passion for language teaching and learning, a commitment to sustained use of the target language in the classroom, and a dedication to developing students’ communicative proficiency and cultural understanding of the Spanish-speaking world.

Experience integrating technology to support language learning and student engagement is highly valued.
Responsibilities include teaching four sections of Upper School Spanish, advising a group of students, and participating actively in the life of the Upper School including weekly Community Time, Chapel, faculty meetings, and other school responsibilities.
