Charlotte Latin School is seeking a dynamic and passionate Upper School English Teacher to join our faculty beginning in the 2026-2027 academic year. This full-time, 10-month position offers the opportunity to inspire and engage students in grades 9-12 through the study of literature, grammar, and composition.
Our Upper School English curriculum includes World Literature, Composition, American Literature, AP Literature, and a variety of semester-long themed English courses, providing students with a rich and diverse literary experience. The ideal candidate loves literature and will bring expertise across multiple genres, enthusiasm, and a student-centered approach to the classroom, fostering critical thinking, creativity, and a lifelong love of reading and writing.
The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching four sections of writing-intensive English, partnering with colleagues to create and update course curriculum, and assessing students' performance in a timely and consistent manner.
