Part-Time Assistant Preschool Teacher

POSITION: Part-Time Assistant Preschool Teacher in the Young Foxhounds

Reports to: Preschool Director

Responsibilities:

• Assists the Lead Teacher in creating a developmentally appropriate program for our children.
• Assists the Lead Teacher in developing weekly lesson plans, activities, and class set-ups.
• Assesses the children’s needs and development.
• Works closely with families to encourage mutual cooperation.
• Provides guidance to instructional staff to help resolve issues with children when necessary.
• Ensures the safety of all children in our program.
• Closely follows licensing regulations related to child care.
• Supports the Lead Teacher in the classroom and assists with behavior management.

Education and Qualifications:

• 90 Hour Certification in Early Child Care preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a childcare setting.
• Minimum of 1 year of teaching experience, including lesson planning.
• Passionate about supporting the development and well-being of children.
• CPR/First Aid certification required or willingness to complete upon hire.
• Completion of Health and Safety and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) courses required, or willingness to complete upon hire.

Schedule:

• Mondays - Fridays, from 8:00 am - 1:00 pm

Compensation

• Between $22.8k - $30.3K, depending on education and years of teaching experience.

• 90 Hour Certification in Early Child Care preferred.
