Director of Continuing Education

The Director of Continuing Education provides strategic leadership for Interlochen's year-round educational offerings serving adult learners. As a leader within the Education Division, the Director advances Interlochen's mission by creating accessible pathways to arts learning, and generating sustainable earned revenue through high-quality educational experiences.

Strategic Leadership and Vision

• Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for continuing education programs that aligns with Interlochen's mission and strategic priorities.
• Identify opportunities to expand lifelong learning, adult education, certificate programs, professional development offerings, and other appropriate initiatives.
• Evaluate emerging trends in arts and continuing education to inform program development and growth.
• Establish goals, metrics, and assessment processes to measure program effectiveness, impact, and sustainability.

Program Development and Innovation

• Design, launch, and oversee year-round arts education programs for adults, lifelong learners, educators, and others.
• Develop innovative educational experiences across artistic disciplines, including visual arts, music, theatre, dance, creative writing, film, and interdisciplinary arts.
• Expand hybrid and in-person learning opportunities in collaboration with Interlochen Online.
• Ensure educational excellence and a high-quality participant experience across all offerings.
• Foster interdisciplinary and cross-divisional collaborations that leverage Interlochen's artistic and educational resources.

• Master's degree in Education, Arts Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in arts education, program development, or a related field.
• Proven track record of strategic leadership, program innovation, and revenue growth.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
