The Hun School of Princeton seeks a dynamic and creative Head Junior Varsity Girls Volleyball Coach who reports to the Co-Directors of Athletics.
The Hun School Athletic Program is proud of our education through athletics. We have a strong athletic tradition at Hun, but success is broadly defined. Competition and winning are important aspects of any program, but do not control the scope of our athletic philosophy. The measurement of success will not be judged by the tangible evidence of victory or defeat, but by the intangible personal development and shared memories that make the effort and experience worthwhile. We participate in the Mid-Atlantic Prep League (MAPL) as well as compete amongst the top independent and public schools in the region.
Responsibilities:
Serve as the Head JV Varsity Coach and Director of program;
To set goals for the entire program, and monitor progress in collaboration with the Co-Directors of Athletics;
Collaborate with the Varsity Girls’ Volleyball coaches in all aspects program
Developing training programs that include monitoring practices and skill development;
Instruction and demonstration of skill sets and techniques necessary for development and athletic achievement in the sport of soccer;
Supervision of the proper use of equipment and inventory including uniforms. This includes general upkeep of equipment and timely communication with the Co-Directors;
Performing support tasks as needed by the Head Coach or athletic department including attendance or other related records.
Ensuring a positive environment aligned with our school’s mission;
Effectively communicate and collaborate with co directors, families, and other necessary stakeholders;
Promoting the program within the school and in the community to support the admissions process;
Contributing to Hun community.

Requirements
Experience as a Head Coach or Assistant Coach in a similar sport;
Strong leadership and communication skills;
Ability to work with a diverse group of students, parents, and staff;
Knowledge of the sport and its rules;
Ability to develop and implement training programs;
Strong organizational and time management skills;
Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
Commitment to the school’s mission and values.
