Upper School Physical Education Teacher

Iolani School is an Episcopal day and boarding school in Honolulu, Hawai?i enrolling approximately 2,200 students on its K-12, 25-acre urban campus.

We seek an experienced educator who is passionate, collaborative, and reflective to join our Physical Education Department as a full-time Upper School Physical Education teacher for the 2026-27 academic year.

The position requires active participation in our vibrant learning community and an educator who will inspire and support our students. The role also requires ongoing collaboration with teaching teams at the course and departmental level. The ideal candidate brings deep knowledge of Physical Education, strong instructional practice, and a genuine love of teaching within a mission-driven independent school environment.

• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Exercise Science, or related discipline.
• Minimum of three years of demonstrated teaching experience teaching movement skills, physical fitness, and health in both middle and high school.
• Certified in Lifeguard Training through the American Red Cross.
• Certified in CPR/First Aid/AED.
• A demonstrated ability to differentiate instruction and to design lesson plans that meet the diverse needs of students.
