Varsity Head Football Coach & Program Head

Ravenscroft School seeks a Varsity Head Football Coach & Program Head to lead and oversee all levels of the football program, including varsity, junior varsity, and developmental programs.

This role is responsible for establishing a unified program philosophy centered on student-athlete development, competitive excellence, leadership and character formation, and alignment with the mission and values of Ravenscroft School. The ideal candidate is a collaborative leader who develops sport-specific skills, fosters a disciplined and team-first culture, and maintains high academic and behavioral standards.

This position may be structured as a stand-alone coaching role or combined with a full-time faculty or staff position for qualified candidates. What You'll Do:

Program Leadership

• Serve as Head Coach of Varsity Football and oversee all levels of the program
• Develop and implement a unified philosophy, standards of play, and program culture
• Lead and evaluate program coaches to ensure alignment in player development and expectations
• Support long-term planning, including player pathways and off-season programming

Player and Coach Development

• Design and implement structured practice plans and training programs
• Teach and demonstrate sport-specific fundamentals and team strategy
• Utilize Hudl for film review and performance analysis
• Promote sportsmanship, leadership, accountability, and personal growth

Operations and Administration

• Maintain required records, rosters, injury reports, and department documentation
• Ensure proper use of school facilities and equipment

• Experience as a head football coach at the high school or collegiate level
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to develop and implement a unified program philosophy
• Experience with Hudl or similar video analysis software
• Strong organizational and administrative skills
