Description

Escuela Bilingüe Internacional (EBI) is seeking a qualified Spanish Teacher for the TK grade level. The ideal candidate will be a passionate educator who is committed to the school's mission and values.

The fundamental responsibility of every teacher is to commit to the values and beliefs of the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Program and to work constantly to translate them into daily classroom practice.

The specific responsibilities of this position include:

Teaching Effectiveness:

As a committed member of the EBI community, the successful candidate will:

  • Align and communicate learning goals with EBI mission and core values of bilingualism, educational excellence, diversity, global citizenship and character;
  • Integrate EBI mission into classroom activities;
  • Create instructional goals and activities with high expectations;
  • Grading and reporting aligned with course subject expectations, including appropriate EBI standards and practices;
  • Use the designated language of instruction;

Plans and prepares for teaching to maximize student learning:

  • Remain current with content knowledge in early childhood education practices and IB curriculum;
  • Plan to meet IB standards and practices;
  • Plan lessons that have a student-centered approach;

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field;
  • Teaching certification in Spanish or a related field;
  • Experience teaching in an international school setting preferred;
  • Knowledge of the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Program;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team;
  • Strong organizational and time management skills;
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities;
  • Fluency in Spanish and English.
