POSITION SUMMARY:

Pinewood School is seeking a full-time, 2nd-grade Math and History teacher for the 2026-27 school year. The individual in this role is a professional educator who is passionate about teaching and meeting the needs of 2nd-grade students within a rich and challenging math and history curriculum.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Instructional Planning and Delivery:

  • Teach Math and History to 2nd-grade students in accordance with Pinewood’s curriculum standards and objectives.
  • Work with the 2nd-grade team of teachers within a departmentalized school setting.
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that fulfill the requirements of the school's curriculum program.
  • Prepare and deliver differentiated instruction to meet the needs of all students.
  • Utilize a variety of teaching methods and materials to accommodate diverse learning styles.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Education or related field.
  • California teaching credential or ability to obtain.
  • Experience teaching 2nd-grade Math and History.
  • Strong understanding of curriculum standards and objectives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
