Village Community School seeks to hire a Math Teacher for Grades 6-8.
This is a full-time, 10-month position, starting August 31, 2026.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Teach engaging and motivating math lessons (6th Grade Pre-algebra through Algebra 1).
Create and maintain an inclusive learning environment that is conducive to the intellectual, physical, social, and emotional development of students. Affirm the identities of all members of our community.
Work collaboratively with the Division Directors, Math Department Chair, and math teachers to design, implement, and evaluate curriculum and instructional strategies.

Requirements
Master’s degree in Mathematics or related field.
Valid New York State teaching certification.
3+ years of experience teaching middle school mathematics.
Strong understanding of child development and developmental needs.
Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and support the school’s mission and values.
