The Kent Place School Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) Department is seeking a forward-thinking educator to develop and teach innovative courses within our Upper School. Students learn to code in Python, Java, and other programming languages; to design and program soft and hard circuits; and to fully execute engineering and human-centered design processes.
A desirable candidate will have experience introducing students to text-based programming, teaching AP Computer Science, and cultivating an inclusive learning environment accessible to all students and that advances equity in STEM.
In addition to teaching a full course load, the CSE faculty member will support STEM initiatives by leading activities that broaden participation in STEM. Expectations for this position will include collaborating with colleagues, advising students in our upper school, and participating in community events.
The CSE faculty member will cultivate and maintain relationships with faculty across academic departments to provide support and training on cross-disciplinary learning opportunities for students that employ AI, machine learning, and our Innovation Lab.
