Description

The Director of Facilities is responsible for the comprehensive oversight and strategic management of all campus facilities.

This role leads and coordinates the design, planning, construction, maintenance, and modification of buildings, equipment, machinery, and other physical infrastructure.

The Director of Facilities will oversee the development and implementation of utility management and conservation programs, and ensure conformance to established specifications.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Inspecting campus and evaluating use of space and facilities.
  • Developing long-range plans, conceptual designs, and capital outlay requirements and documentation for the campus.
  • Managing the annual operating budget, capital equipment purchases, and project budgets for all departments under this role.
  • Acting as liaison to public utility, environmental, and energy agencies.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in facilities management or a related field.
  • Proven track record of successful facilities management, including budgeting and project management.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as engineering, architecture, or business administration.
