Bullis School seeks an experienced, energetic, and effective leader to serve as its next Director of Human Resources. A member of the School’s Senior Leadership Team, the Director of Human Resources (HR) is responsible for leading and overseeing all human resources functions and providing strategic guidance and operational support to Bullis leadership on a broad range of HR initiatives.
Key responsibilities include ensuring compliance with all applicable federal and state employment laws and regulations and overseeing workplace compliance through the management of employee relations matters such as workplace investigations, policy development and interpretation, performance management, medical accommodations, leave administration (including FMLA, disability, and ADA), benefits administration, and other initiatives that support a positive employee experience.
The Director of HR provides supervision to the HR Generalist and collaborates closely with the Dean of Faculty to develop, facilitate, and implement all phases of the recruitment process for instructional faculty. The Director also oversees employee onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment requirements.
This is a 12-month administrative position reporting to the Head of School with an anticipated start date of May 2026.
