Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Mathematics Teacher who is passionate about inspiring students to develop strong mathematical skills and critical thinking abilities. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of mathematics and innovative teaching methods to engage students in the learning process.
Key Responsibilities
* Teach a range of high school math courses, including Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Algebra 2, Statistics, Pre-Calculus.
* Develop and implement lesson plans that foster students' understanding of mathematical concepts and real-world applications.
* Create an inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
* Evaluate and track student progress, adapting instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
* Participate in school activities, events, and professional development to contribute to the NYMA community.
* Collaborate with other faculty members to develop cross-curricular projects and support a STEAM-focused educational environment.
Qualifications
* Education: Master’s degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a related field (preferred); Bachelor’s degree required.
* Certification: State teaching certification in mathematics (preferred).
* Experience: Minimum of 2 years
