Position Overview:

NYMA is actively seeking an experienced Science Teacher who has a deep knowledge in the areas of Biology, Chemistry, and other related subjects. The ideal candidate should be passionate about fostering a love for science among high school students and should be able to teach at an AP (Advanced Placement) level.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons that align with curriculum guidelines.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Provide guidance to students in their academic pursuits and mentor them in their academic growth.
• Administer assessments and provide timely feedback to students.
• Collaborate with fellow faculty and participate in professional development opportunities.
• Maintain classroom discipline and implement NYMA's classroom management strategies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• Prior teaching experience, preferably at the high school level.
• Proven ability to teach AP level classes.
• Strong classroom management abilities.
• Certification in teaching preferred
• Passionate about working in an academic setting and molding young minds.
