Middle School Physical Education Program Description

At The Frances Xavier Warde School, the PE program provides students in Grades 4-Grade 8 with a curriculum (based on the National and State Physical Education Standard from 2024) that encourages physical activity and the development of skills in the major sports. Students actively participate in games, activities and sports play that contribute to their growth, development, and socialization skills. The teacher facilitates structured activities which provide a variety of learning experiences to meet the needs of students.

• Teach physical education classes to students in Grades 4-8.
• Develop and implement curriculum based on the National and State Physical Education Standard from 2024.
• Facilitate games, activities, and sports play that promote physical activity and skill development.
• Manage the classroom in a positive and respectful manner.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Meet routine duties and expectations in a dependable manner.
