Bancroft School, a PreK–12 independent day school in Worcester, Massachusetts, is dedicated to empowering students through active, inquiry-based learning. Founded in 1900, Bancroft is situated on a beautiful 30-acre campus in a residential neighborhood just north of downtown Worcester—a thriving city with a rich history and a promising future. Our 460 students come from over three countries and over 70 cities and towns across Massachusetts, bringing a wide range of backgrounds and experiences that enrich our inclusive learning environment.

Position Summary
Bancroft School seeks an Upper School English teacher to join our dynamic team of educators for the 2026-2027 school year. We are looking for someone who can teach any level of Upper School English courses. The successful candidate will demonstrate an ability to engage students in meaningful inquiry, problem solving, and collaborative exploration. Developing students’ skills as critical thinkers, writers, and communicators is essential.
