The Episcopal School of Baton Rouge seeks a Head Girls Basketball Coach to supervise a staff of assistant Upper School and Middle School coaches in conjunction with the Director of Athletics. This position reports directly to the Athletic Director.
The Head Coach is responsible for instructing students in the fundamental skills, strategies, and physical training necessary to realize team and individual success. They must also work to instill in students the values of sportsmanship, pride in accomplishment, acceptable social behavior, self-discipline, and self-confidence.
The Head Coach works with the Middle School coaching staff to promote strong vertical alignment of the sport. The Head Coach also works with the other athletic staff to observe and promote the school’s mission, policies, and athletic procedures.
This position includes both in-season and off-season responsibilities and comes with a stipend with an annual renewal. The Head Coach candidate must be employed full-time as a Physical Education teacher at the Episcopal School of Baton Rouge.
