Job Overview

As a K-12 Physical Education Teacher, this person will work with the Physical Education team to develop skills-based curriculum and teach daily physical education classes as assigned. As an Athletics Coach, this person will coach at minimum two seasons, as assigned. They will report to the Head of Lower School, Department Heads of Physical Education, and to the Director of Athletics.

• The ability to utilize proven, research-based strategies for classroom management, lesson planning, instructional delivery, and the inclusion of technology.
• The ability to develop and teach a skills-based physical education curriculum, including sport, fitness, and wellness in K-12, as assigned.

• A bachelor's degree in Physical Education or related field.
• Valid teaching certification in New York State.
• Experience in teaching physical education in a K-12 setting.
• Coaching experience in a school setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Ability to develop and implement curriculum.
