The Chapin School, an independent K-12 day school for girls located in New York City, is seeking a Full-Time Certified Athletic Trainer for the 2026-2027 school year.

The Certified Athletic Trainer position is a 10-month position, working Monday through Friday, typically between the hours of 10 a.m. and 6:30 p.m., and occasional Saturdays as needed. This individual reports to the Head Athletic Trainer and Director of Athletics.
Chapin's Athletic Trainer will be a professional who demonstrates the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- Athletic trainers must have knowledge about a large range of medical problems. Assessment and evaluation skills and working with other healthcare professionals will be needed.
- Ability to think critically and make independent decisions regarding the assessment, treatment, rehabilitation and return to play decisions per state licensure guidelines.
- Should be thorough and detailed with injury tracking and documentation.
- Ability to communicate effectively in high stress/pressure situations when talking to students, medical professionals, staff, and families.
- Must have the ability to organize, prioritize and perform multiple tasks with little or no supervision.
The Athletic Trainer's specific duties and responsibilities will include:
- Provide preventative care to The Chapin School student-athletes and support coaches by caring for athletes’ sports-related injuries.
- Administer clinical evaluations and subsequent treatment and rehabilitation programs.
- Assist Head Athletic Trainer and Director of Athletics in maintaining a safe and healthy athletic environment.
