We invite you to join our team in making this mission a reality for our students as a full-time faculty member teaching Upper School Math Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year.

Applicants should be flexible in their ability to teach five sections of Upper School Math, ranging from Algebra 1 through Calculus, and including grades 9–12. Upper School Math teachers at Seattle Academy emphasize conceptual understanding, mathematical reasoning, and problem-solving while fostering confidence, persistence, and curiosity in young learners. Instruction is student-centered and developmentally responsive, balancing academic rigor with strong relational support.

The ideal candidate will enjoy working with a diverse population of learners and skilled in supporting students across a range of mathematical readiness levels. Full-time faculty at Seattle Academy typically teach five classes and carry additional supervisory or advisory responsibilities as assigned.

Teaching Responsibilities:

  • Teach five sections of Upper School math courses ranging from Algebra 1 through Calculus.
  • Design and deliver lessons aligned with Upper School math standards and develop assessments to measure student progress.
  • Provide individualized support to students with varying levels of mathematical readiness.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum and instructional strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or related field.
  • Teaching certification or equivalent experience.
  • Proven track record of teaching Upper School math courses, including Algebra 1 through Calculus.
  • Strong understanding of math standards and curriculum design.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
