The Director of Advancement plays a critical role in engaging constituents and securing gifts, with a focus on philanthropic gifts of $10,000 or more. This individual must be able to relate to and connect with donors and potential donors of all types, demonstrating respect and understanding of their background and lived experience.
The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of planned giving vehicles and their integration into donor conversations and long-term campaign planning. They are a relationship-builder at their core, leading with curiosity, empathy, and high emotional intelligence, and believing deeply in honoring donor intent and creating meaningful stewardship experiences.
