SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Our Lower School is seeking an experienced, innovative classroom teacher who excels in a highly collaborative, co-teaching environment. First grade at Whitby is a critical year for developing both core academic foundations and student agency. We are looking for a practitioner who is as comfortable leading an explicit phonics lesson as they are facilitating a student-led inquiry. Sharing classroom responsibility with a co-teacher, you will provide the deep differentiation and small-group support necessary for first-grade success.
While experience with the IBPYP is a distinct advantage, we prioritize a commitment to the highest standards of professionalism and a desire to grow within our dynamic faculty.
