Springdale Preparatory School seeks a qualified STEAM Teacher to join our talented team for the upcoming 2026-27 academic year. This position may be responsible for a wide range of technology-based courses, including robotics, computer science, computer programming, engineering, and computer-aided design for Middle and Upper School students. Exact course load will be dependent on area of expertise.

This position also has an exciting role to continue to develop and build the school's makers space lab area.

Springdale offers a rigorous curriculum based on real-world application to equip students socially, academically, and emotionally. Springdale teachers offer differentiated and globally minded instruction to students in small class sizes. Full-time teachers are responsible for teaching four or five classes per academic year, as well as participating in extracurricular activities.

STEAM teachers should have the ability to infuse technology to create inquiry and project-based lessons, introduce scientific method and engineering design process to allow students to interrogate the world they live in and apply what they learn from their investigations, and incorporate various immersion methods in lesson delivery. Springdale teachers encourage and support students through a positive learning environment.

Requirements

  • Qualified applicants should have a degree in a relevant field (e.g., STEAM, Education, or related field).
  • Experience in teaching STEAM courses, particularly in a middle and upper school setting.
  • Ability to infuse technology into lessons and create inquiry and project-based learning experiences.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • Experience with differentiated instruction and globally minded teaching practices.
