Seattle Academy is a dynamic community that challenges students to question, imagine, and create in order to contribute boldly to a changing world.
This mission comes alive in our urban school setting where we serve grades 6 – 12 in a vibrant, independent school environment.
Our diverse faculty is exceptionally qualified, strong academically, and combines rich life experience with passion for their disciplines.
Our teaching philosophy is geared toward our mission and guiding principles of Culture of Performance, College, and Life, Know the Kid, and Inclusive Community.
We invite you to join our team in making this mission a reality for our students as a full-time faculty member teaching Study Skills starting in the 2026-27 school year.
Study Skills is a unique, small-group, fee-based, elective class designed to help students develop executive functioning, self-advocacy, and academic skills.
Grounded in a strength-based systems approach, Study Skills teachers partner closely with students, families, and classroom teachers.
Skills are taught through targeted mini-lessons and individualized support.
Experience in special education, academic coaching, small group instruction, executive functioning, and/or study skills instruction is considered a plus.
The ideal candidate brings strong written and verbal communication skills and demonstrates an ability to partner effectively with students, families, and peers.
A bachelor’s degree is required.
