Division: Lower School Reports To: Head of Lower School
Position:
Full-time faculty member
10-month contract (mid-Aug-early June)
Salary commensurate with experience
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required (master’s preferred)
Meets qualifications for licensure in Ohio
Proven ability as an educational leader working with young children (minimum 3 years primary teaching experience preferred)
Commitment to the school’s virtues, mission, and professional standards
Clear understanding and evidence of high-quality teaching and learning, including the science of reading
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Comfort with technology and vision for appropriate and purposeful incorporation into the curriculum
Willingness to be a visible and involved participant in and supporter of the school community
Skill and comfort working collaboratively and productively with all constituencies within the school community
Experience collaborating with colleagues around lesson development, classroom management, student assessment, differentiation, etc.
Strong candidates will have experience with:
Evidence-based literacy instruction
Deep understanding of the foundations of mathematics
Authentic integration of supplemental literacy programs
