Position:
10-month contract (mid-August – early-June)
Additional summer hours available through CCDSummer Camp
Hours based on program needs (30 – 40 hours per week)
Additional hours may be available through our Extended Day programs
Salary commensurate with that of a teacher assistant
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required (degree in early childhood education preferred)
Meets qualifications for licensure in Ohio or educational aide certification
Proven ability to work with young children (minimum 3 years teaching experience preferred)
Perform essential functions of the position which include the ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, balance, and lift up to 25 pounds
Commitment to the school’s virtues, mission, and professional standards
Strong classroom management skills
Clear understanding of high-quality teaching and learning
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Willingness to be a visible and involved participant in and supporter of the school community
Skill and comfort working collaboratively and productively with all constituencies within the school community
Experience collaborating with colleagues around lesson development, classroom management, student assessment, and differentiation
Certifications in: First Aid, CPR, Communicable Diseases
