OPPORTUNITY STATEMENT:
We are seeking a teacher to join our Visual Arts department, where they will instruct two Photography courses across the Middle and Upper School divisions.
Marlborough’s Photography courses foster technical proficiency, visual and media literacy, and the opportunity to engage with 21st-Century visual culture through an experiential, joyful, personal, and critical lens.
Through instruction in technical foundations, darkroom practice, digital workflow, critique, and visual analysis, students build proficiency while also cultivating a distinct artistic voice.
In addition, the Visual Arts Department seeks to expose students to a dynamic range of artists, histories, materials, and contemporary practices, helping them understand art as both a technical process and a powerful form of personal, cultural, and intellectual inquiry.

Beyond classroom teaching, this position will also involve mentoring students, collaborating with colleagues, and contributing to the development of the Visual Arts program.
