Position Overview:
Forsyth Country Day School seeks a knowledgeable, dependable, and service-oriented Network and Endpoint Engineer to support the school's technology infrastructure and managed computing environment. This position is responsible for the administration, maintenance, security, and continuous improvement of the school's network systems and endpoint devices.
The Network and Endpoint Services Engineer plays an important role in ensuring that faculty, staff, and students have reliable, secure, and effective access to the technology resources necessary to support teaching, learning, and school operations. This position requires strong technical expertise, sound judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic school environment.
Essential Responsibilities:
Network Administration and Infrastructure Support:
- Administer, maintain, and support the school's wired and wireless network infrastructure.
- Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot network equipment and core services, including switches, firewalls, wireless systems, VPN connectivity, authentication systems, and related technologies.
- Monitor network performance, availability, and capacity, taking proactive steps to address service interruptions or performance concerns.
- Assist in planning, implementing, and documenting network upgrades, improvements, and infrastructure changes.
- Maintain accurate network diagrams, configuration records, and technical documentation.
Endpoint and Device Management:
- Administer, maintain, and support the school's managed computing environment, including desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and related technologies.
- Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot endpoint devices and related services, including operating systems, applications, and security software.
- Monitor endpoint performance, availability, and capacity, taking proactive steps to address service interruptions or performance concerns.
- Assist in planning, implementing, and documenting endpoint upgrades, improvements, and changes.
- Maintain accurate endpoint diagrams, configuration records, and technical documentation.
