Princeton Day School is seeking a Temporary Summer Assistant to work in our Information Technology (IT) department.
This is a temporary 3-month non-exempt (hourly) position beginning on June 15, 2026 through September 4, 2026.
This position will work 4 days a week in our office located in Princeton, NJ; Monday through Thursday from 8:30am to 4:00pm, approximately 30 hours weekly.
Work will involve computers, iPads, etc. Familiarity and comfort with technology are preferred, but a high level of technical expertise is not necessary.
This role will play a critical part in ensuring that our students and faculty are ready for the next academic year beginning in September.
Key Responsibilities:
- Remain focused on repetitive tasks (follow a checklist)
- Meticulously follow instructions (written and verbal) while avoiding distractions
- Be highly organized
- Be competent with spreadsheets, preferably Google Sheets
- Be reliable and dependable, show pride and ownership in projects
- Suggest improvements in processes and discuss with supervisor
- Be able and accurate in entering data
- Be able and willing to lift and move boxes, computers, peripherals, etc. which can weigh up to 30 pounds
- File paper documents
- Attend and contribute to project meetings
- Interact with people in a friendly manner and answer questions related to your work
Qualifications and Personal Attributes:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy is a must
- Comfortable with computers and iPads
- Some experience with iPad iOS
- Trustworthy and comfortable with sensitive information
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Work on assigned tasks with very limited supervision
