The Blake School seeks to hire a skilled and dynamic Middle School (grades 6-8) math teacher to join our outstanding faculty for the 2026-27 school year (August 19, 2026 - June 11, 2027). This is a 1.0 FTE, benefits-eligible interim position teaching Honors Algebra I and Honors Algebra II. Both of these courses are taught using problem-based learning and learner-centered pedagogy.
The strongest candidates will have an appreciation for and experience working with early adolescent learners. The Blake School is particularly interested in candidates who will enrich the diversity of identity and lived experience that makes a community strong and empowers students to engage across differences.
We welcome candidates who have non-traditional experience as educators and who are eager to grow and translate their capacities as designers of learning experiences into the traditional classroom.
The committee will begin reviewing applications immediately. The Blake School will cover the travel and lodging costs for finalist candidates visiting from out of town.
