Established in 1958 as a ministry of St. Michael’s Episcopal Church, St. Michael’s School is a PK through 8th-grade coed, independent day school with approximately 280 students located in Tucson, Arizona. St. Michael’s offers early childhood, elementary and middle school programming designed to help each child achieve his or her personal best. St. Michael’s is fully accredited by the Southwestern Association of Episcopal Schools, which is recognized by the National Association of Independent Schools and the State of Arizona.

The Position

In seeking its next Head of School, St. Michael’s seeks an enthusiastic, visionary leader with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills who can inspire the confidence and respect of the entire school community. The school seeks a knowledgeable educator who can lead the school through growth, known as a collaborator, with demonstrated skills in relationship-building, mentorship, and strategic thinking. The next Head of St. Michael’s must be at ease making fair and firm decisions. The school seeks an individual with a passion for education who will embrace its unique Episcopal identity. This individual must be committed to continuing the school’s educational philosophy of academic excellence within a warm and welcoming environment. The next Head of School will assume office on July 1, 2027.
