Upper School Math Teacher

Mission:

The Hudson School provides intellectually inquisitive students with a rigorous and relevant college-preparatory education that inspires independent thinking and intellectual risk-taking. Responsibilities:

Teach four to five sections of Upper School Math. Draw from best practices to develop a dynamic curriculum that fosters a love of learning math. Create daily lesson plans that actively engage students in a learner-focused environment. Assess student work and provide prompt, constructive feedback to support their growth. Prepare detailed reports evaluating student progress. Participate in the academic life of the school.

A successful candidate will:

• Believe that all students can achieve at the highest academic level
• Be able to meet often to collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and ensure student progress
• Have a minimum of 3 years of experience teaching math in a classroom setting and a relevant degree
• Recognize individual student learning needs and develop strategies to address those needs
