Description

Colorado Rocky Mountain School (CRMS) is seeking a highly qualified Learning Specialist to join our team of dedicated faculty members starting in the fall of 2026. This educator will support the academic progress of diverse learners in our college-preparatory boarding school.

The CRMS Learning Specialist oversees our Learning Center, working closely with students, faculty, and parents with the goal of enhancing student success through direct intervention, professional development, and personalized learning profiles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and implement appropriate academic accommodations, including assistive technology and classroom interventions.
  • Educate and coach faculty in best practices for addressing the needs of diverse learners.
  • Collaborate with the Academic Dean and Learning Center faculty to develop academic support structures appropriate for a college-preparatory boarding school environment.
  • Provide targeted academic support by meeting with students one-on-one and in small groups.
  • Manage Learning Center faculty and schedule.
  • Maintain accurate records of educational evaluations, learning profiles, and approved accommodations.
  • Review applicant files and provide recommendations to the Admission team.
  • Process applications for College Board and ACT accommodations.
  • Ensure program compliance with ADA guidelines.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Foster a culture of inclusion and equity, ensuring all students feel a sense of belonging.
  • Execute all duties and responsibilities in a timely and professional manner.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field required; an advanced degree or Special Education credential is preferred.
  • Teaching or learning support experience.
  • Experience teaching fundamental academic skill sets (e.g., reading, writing, and math).
