Upper School Mathematics Teacher

Rye Country Day School is seeking a full time Upper School Mathematics Teacher to join the faculty beginning in August 2026.

Rye Country Day School is a coeducational, PreK-12, college preparatory school located in Westchester County, New York dedicated to providing students with an excellent education using both traditional and innovative approaches.

Specific responsibilities of the position include:

• Teach four Upper School sections of Mathematics
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop a dynamic curriculum that fosters a love of math and builds students’ critical thinking and analytical reasoning skills
• Develop daily lessons that produce a high-level of student engagement in a student-centered environment
• Grade student assignments and provide timely, constructive feedback of their work
• Regularly write reports that evaluate student performance and demonstrate knowledge of students’ experiences
• Participate in faculty and departmental meetings, field trips, special activities, and rotational duties
• Seek out and participate in professional growth opportunities embracing a growth mindset
• Serve as advisor to a group of Upper School students

• Master’s degree in Mathematics or Mathematics Education required
• 3-5 years of experience teaching in an Upper School setting
• A well-developed sensitivity, knowledge, and understanding of the diverse backgrounds of community members; a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
