Description

Indian Mountain School (IMS) is seeking a dynamic, student-centered educator to serve as its Grades 7–9 Science Teacher. This position calls for a collaborative teacher who understands the developmental needs of early adolescents and is committed to inspiring curiosity, critical thinking, and a lifelong love of scientific inquiry.

  • Eighth Grade Science: Leading a laboratory-focused course emphasizing physical science and introductory chemistry principles.
  • Ninth Grade Science: Teaching a high school–level biology course.

(Note: teaching assignments based on candidate experience and needs of the department)

Curriculum Development: Collaborating with colleagues to refine and strengthen the science program and incorporate inquiry-based learning and real-world applications.

Residential Life Participation: Contributing to the life of the boarding community through dorm responsibilities and other activities.
